Unexpected Backless Booster Seat Giveaway

Last month I wanted to help a struggling family by buying two backless booster seats for the children who were sitting on phone books. I didn’t realize that it may offend the struggling parents, so the gift boosterPod’s were rejected.

I held onto the two booster seats because I originally bought them with the intention of giving them away. I knew that someone would need them soon and they sat in my basement for a few weeks.

Two Cute Kids & a PB&J sandwich

I was visiting my sister in Tennessee (850 miles from my house). I saw these 2 cute kids playing in front of their house. The kids were delightful and they played nicely for a few hours with my children.

I could tell the family didn’t have much money as the house was in need of some repairs and the kids clothes were worn. Their mother brought us all PB&J sandwiches for lunch and apologized for not having anything better to serve.

I wanted to help this family & I don’t have much money to give myself, so I asked their mom if she could use 2 brand new backless booster seats. She almost started crying stating that she had been hoping to get some nice booster seats for her children, but didn’t have any money. When I get home I’m going to send them to her!
